Description

The database contains the results of analyses of sediment samples of two cores collected during the research cruise of r/v IMOR (Maritime Institute in Gdańsk, Poland) on 10th April 2015 at station P116 in the Gdańsk Deep, southern Baltic Sea (54°39.040’N, 19°17.240’E; water depth: 89 m). A long sediment core (384 cm) was taken using a vibrocorer (VKG-6/3), short core (50 cm) with a GEMAX core sampler. The sediment samples were analysed for phytoplankton pigments, carbon, grain-size, diatoms and selected metals. The long sediment core was radiocarbon-dated.
Sediment collection and analyses were carried out within the framework of the Polish-Norwegian Research Programme operated by the National Centre for Research and Development under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009-2014, grant CLISED No. 196128.
Description of analytical methods is presented in the paper: M. Szymczak-Żyła, M. Krajewska, M. Witak, T.M. Ciesielski, M.V. Ardelan, B.M. Jenssen, T. Goslar, A. Winogradow, A. Filipkowska. L.
